Jason Sanjay, son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and actor Vijay, recently told a funny family anecdote that his mother always seemed to know whenever he tried to sneak out or kept something from the family.
Jason jokes about his childhood as in the sense that his mother was "like a spy" because she would always catch him when he tried to hang out without telling anyone.
"My Mom is like a spy. Whenever I try to cheat and hang out separately, I will get caught," Jason said with a laugh.
He went on to recall one incident that nearly caused panic at home.
Jason explained that one night after everyone else in the family had gone to sleep, he quietly took the family car and went for a drive without telling anyone. To make matters worse, his mobile phone was turned off all night and his family was unable to reach him.
"There is one incident. I drove the car at night when everyone in my family was asleep and I didn’t tell them and returned in the morning. My mobile phone was switched off."
Jason said his family became extremely worried when they discovered he was missing. Unable to reach him for several hours, they believed something serious might have happened.
He said the situation was so tense that the family was about to file a missing person complaint with the police before he finally returned home safely the next day.
As Jason recalled the aftermath with a smile he said:
"They were about to lodge a complaint at the police station that I was missing. When I returned in the morning... enna vachu senjanga!"
His light-hearted remark, roughly meaning "They gave me a good scolding!", drew laughter and highlighted the close bond he shares with his family.
The anecdote quickly became popular on social media and Jason Sanjay’s personal life was given the chance to be seen so fans got to see him from a different angle. Many praised the story for being so relatable to the star family, several users noted that every parent would react the same way if their child disappeared overnight without telling anyone.
