Shilpa Shinde, popular for her role as Angoori Bhabhi in the popular sitcom Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, said in Lock Upp 2 that she had been experiencing the most difficult feelings in her own family and so did her fellow contestants and viewers.

Shilpa described her relationship with her family in painful terms during an emotional discussion on the show. She said: “I’m an orphan, even when I have a family. I live in a shelter.” We see in her words the loneliness and emotional disconnect she’s been experiencing even though she has very close relatives. The news of her reveal shocked everyone on the show and opened up a conversation with fans on social media.

Shilpa recalled a particularly painful chapter in her life that occurred after she had shoulder surgery three years ago. She was still recovering from the operation when she was asked to leave her own home just four days later.

Sharing the story, she said, “I had shoulder surgery three years ago. I was thrown out of my own home within four days.” The actress said that she had hoped for support and care during her recovery but instead went through emotional pain and isolation.

The actress also talked about her mother and said she felt hurt when her mother didn’t stop her from leaving the house. Shilpa said her mother had been influenced by her brother in the family dispute. “I am such a doormat in my own home because my mother didn’t even stop me because she was influenced by my brother,” she said emotionally.

Many viewers expressed sympathy and support on social media. Shilpa was able to speak up and share her struggles and hardships very publicly on national TV, and the reality show had given contestants a platform to tell people about problems they don’t know about and get their heads out of their heads about their achievements and success.

Shilpa Shinde is one of television’s most visible personalities and is always a talking point. She’s been at work and in love so many times, and now she’s able to overcome it and keep finding hope. Her show Lock Upp 2 once more proved to people that celebrity life is not all about being popular; it’s a lot smaller and much more personal; I think everyone will see that.

Shilpa’s claims have received widespread attention; the family has not had any public response to her allegations from the show. So as the reality series continues and she continues to tell her story, I really hope she is able to tell her story and it will affect the community to understand the importance of emotional support in families.
