Spider-Man: Brand New Day Box Office: Tom Holland Starrer Crushes Records With Massive Advance Bookings in India

The fever for Tom Holland’s web-slinging superhero is rewriting box office history in India even before it has officially launched onto the big screen. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been so excited for Spider-Man: Brand New Day since it came out in India and the demand for pre-sale is skyrocketing for the film on digital platforms and national cinema chains. The industry data tells us that the movie is on a fast track to 5 lakh advance tickets sold across India’s big box office chains—a record only Hollywood blockbusters can ever achieve.

Data shows huge pre-release momentum, with huge bookings for BookMyShow where advance sales have well surpassed 1.3 million tickets. This is also one of the largest pre-release titles of the platform. And national cinema chains like PVR, INOX and Cinepolis have seen a huge response on the first day, with ticket sales of around 3.69 lakh on the first day alone and a total advance gross of over Rs 18 crore. It is estimated that when final pre-show scores are in, Spider-Man: Brand New Day will easily surpass the 5-lakh advance ticket benchmark at national chains.
