Dhruv Vikram has apparently been involved in a dispute over a halted Tamil-Telugu bilingual film by Ramesh Varma, with Neeladhri Productions and producer Jayantilal Gada behind him.
According to producers, Dhruv Vikram was paid an advance of ₹1 crore for the project. They also claimed that nearly ₹20 crore had been spent on sets, music, pre-production and other work before the film came to a halt.
According to sources, the project was originally called ‘DV4’ and was planned to be a big bilingual venture for both Tamil and Telugu audiences. Production was disrupted however, when the actor stopped providing dates for the shoot.
Dhruv later withdrew from the project, citing health reasons. The actor also did not formally make a statement to the producers about his decision to step down from the film, they said.
These are claims made by the producers and should not be treated as established findings. Dhruv Vikram’s response and his version of the events would be in order to determine the full circumstances behind the production dispute.
The issue was brought to the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce (SIFCC), which the producers asked for intervention regarding the stalled project and the investments already made.
