Jai Krishna Ghattamaneni is the grandson of Superstar Krishna and nephew of Mahesh Babu. Ajay Bhupathi has made a great film Srinivasa Mangapuram. The movie is romantic, action, family emotions and drama in one shot. It has Rasha Thadani as the female lead and Mohan Babu as a central actor. The movie has to introduce a new hero from one of Telugu cinema’s most famous families.

Srinivasa Mangapuram Movie Review

The story is about a young couple in love whose lives are thrown into chaos by unexpected circumstances. When powerful forces threaten to separate them, the protagonist must fight against all odds to protect his loved one. While the plot is essentially a commercial story, the screenplay keeps the story moving through action and emotional scenes, romance and well-placed songs that appeal to the mainstream audience.

Jai Krishna makes a good first impression with a confident performance. In his first film he has to deal with emotions and action scenes with conviction and his presence on screen shows that he could be a commercial hero. Rasha Thadani complements him and shows a cool and confident performance and good chemistry with the debut actor. Mohan Babu is the main character and the supporting cast is excellent.

Srinivasa Mangapuram is technically well-shot and sleek and action-heavy with nice visuals, well-shot cinematography and energetic action choreography. The background score propels a few of the key scenes, and the songs are part of the story. Director Ajay Bhupathi does a great job of presenting the movie on a grand scale, but the screenplay is heavily reliant on familiar narrative tropes. The story is quite predictable, especially in the second half.

Srinivasa Mangapuram is an enjoyable commercial entertainer and Jai Krishna is a promising new talent in Telugu cinema. Though it doesn’t reinvent the romantic action genre, the movie does provide just enough entertainment (action scenes, music, emotional scenes) to keep the audience of the mainstream Telugu cinema satisfied. It is a good start for Jai Krishna on his acting career.

Pros: Jai Krishna's confident and promising debut. Good chemistry between the lead pair. Well-executed action scenes. Great background score and songs. Mohan Babu's strong supporting performance.

Cons: Predictable storyline. Conventional screenplay. Limited surprises in the second half.
