Suriya's upcoming family drama Vishwanath & Sons has received a lot of attention in pre-release days and media attention (not only because of the cast and storyline but also its actors' salaries).
Venky Atluri directed the film which stars Suriya in the lead role with Mamitha Baiju, Radhika Sarathkumar and Raveena Tandon. It is produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. The film is set to be released worldwide on August 14, 2026.
Suriya reportedly charged ₹69 Crore
According to figures published on social media and entertainment sites, Suriya made nearly ₹69 crore for his role in Vishwanath & Sons. It is a figure that is widely circulated but the makers and Suriya have not officially confirmed his remuneration.
If true, the reported ₹69 crore fee would make Suriya by far the highest-paid member of the film's principal cast.
Suriya plays Sanjay Vishwanath, an international pistol shooter whose personal and family life is at the heart of the story. This actor is playing a character in his 40s and the movie is about relationships, emotions and an unusual romantic equation.
Mamitha Baiju Reportedly Earned ₹2 Crore.
Mamitha Baiju is said to have received around ₹2 crore for the film. But that number should be treated as an unverified industry report, rather than an officially confirmed salary.
Mamitha is one of the most sought-after young actresses after films like Premalu and Dude. Interestingly, she previously dismissed reports that she was charging ₹15 crore per film, calling that figure a major rumour about herself.
Her work with Suriya in Vishwanath & Sons is another big step in her rapidly growing career.
What about Radhika Sarathkumar and Raveena Tandon?
There are also reports circulating online about the remuneration of Radhika Sarathkumar and Raveena Tandon, but reliable sources have not established their exact fees for Vishwanath & Sons.
Both actresses play important roles in the film. Radhika shares screen space with Suriya, while Raveena makes a comeback to Tamil cinema after more than two decades.
Radhika has recently been emotionally speaking about the making of the film, recalling how she finished a scene even after receiving news of her mother's death during production.
