Aditya Seal and Anushka Ranjan Reveal Tearful First Moments With Twin Daughters Vira and Mahi
The couple showed fans their journey from the delivery room to the time Aditya Seal broke down in tears after becoming a father to twin girls.
Aditya Seal and Anushka Ranjan have given fans an emotional peek into the day they welcomed twin daughters. The actor couple had recently shared unseen footage from hospital that shows how tense things were before delivery and how happy they were when baby girls came home. In the video Aditya accompanies Anushka as she is taken towards the delivery room then he reacts after their daughters are born.
The couple announced the arrival of their twins on August 23. In a joint social media post Aditya and Anushka said they were parents to two baby girls (Vira Ranjan Seal & Mahi Ranjan Seal) and called them their "sunshines" as they started a new phase in their lives together as a family.
On September 8 Aditya and Anushka gave their fans another special update. The couple uploaded a video to their joint Instagram account showing never-before-seen moments from the hospital: “The Babies Are Here” begins the clip followed by the caption “And they have arrived”.
Aditya Seal gets emotional after becoming a father
The video gives us an intimate look at the birth of the couple’s daughters. Anushka is wheeled into the delivery room in the beginning of the video with Aditya by her side; later on she can be seen being taken inside a stretcher as the couple prepare for their babies to arrive.
The mood changes completely when Aditya comes out of the operating theatre after delivery. The actor is overwhelmed by the moment and waves at his family members before hugging them emotionally. He then starts crying with happiness because it’s so huge to become a father for the first time.
The emotional reaction has given fans a rare peek into the couple’s own experience of parenthood. Instead of just celebrating the birth, the video shows anticipation, nervousness and release when Vira and Mahi arrived.
Anushka Ranjan and Aditya Seal begin parenthood journey
The birth of their daughters follows the couple’s openness about pregnancy with followers. On May 29 Aditya and Anushka announced that they were expecting their first children together in a series of maternity photos. That was the start of something new for them since then they have given occasional glimpses into their journey towards parenthood.
Anushka has also spoken about her experience with IVF (in vitro fertilisation). In June, she opened up about the physical and emotional struggles she went through during fertility treatment. She said that when she first heard about it she didn’t like the idea of IVF because “there was something wrong with me for needing medical assistance to conceive”.
“But over time that changed,” Anushka says. “My experience taught me to talk about fertility treatment and stigma around assisted reproductive procedures talking about my own journey has been an attempt to have more honest conversations about IVF and challenge some of the myths associated with fertility treatments.”
The actress previously said that she had about 150 injections during IVF. She also thanked Aditya and her family for being by her side throughout what was a tough time.
A new chapter for the couple
With Vira and Mahi in their lives Aditya and Anushka have entered a new phase of their relationship. The hospital video has shown fans the emotional reality behind the celebratory birth announcement (Aditya’s reaction after he met his daughters).
The couple’s choice to share these personal moments also shows how open they have been in documenting their journey into parenthood. IVF and fertility struggles were discussed, pregnancy was announced and then the names of daughters introduced, Aditya and Anushka have let their followers along for this ride slowly but surely.
