Anshuman Jha’s ‘Om Ka Hari’ Gets a New Title: Father-Son Drama Set for September Release
Anshuman Jha and Raghubir Yadav will bring a very emotional father-son story to the big screen with their new film Om Ka Hari, headed by Harish Vyas.
The film which was previously termed Harish Vyas’ Hari-Om, now has its name ‘Om Ka Hari’. The film will release on September 18, 2026.
The conflict between a traditional father, Hari Prasad Sharma, played by Raghubir Yadav, and his son, Om Prasad Sharma, played by Anshuman Jha, is present in the movie.
Set against Bhopal and Varanasi, the story is about the distance a parent can create emotionally between his/her child and the child.
Anshuman Jha and Raghubir Yadav Lead the Cast
Anshuman Jha plays Om, a self-made man who wants to live life according to his own choices. Raghubir Yadav plays his father Hari, whose traditional outlook conflicts with his son’s independent approach.
The supporting cast includes Soni Razdan, Ayesha Kapur, and Samta Sudiksha. The film is managed by Harish Vyas and it is his third collaboration with Anshuman Jha after ‘Angrezi Mein Kehte Hain’ and ‘Hum Bhi Akele, Tum Bhi Akele’.
A Story About Unspoken Feelings
At the heart of ‘Om Ka Hari’ is a familiar family conflict: a father who thinks he knows what is best for his son and a son who wants freedom to decide his way.
Hari and Om’s rivalry takes them from Bhopal to Varanasi and their travel becomes a way of dealing with years of misunderstanding. This movie deals with not only the problems of generations, but also the difficulty many families have in expressing love openly.
Based on the film’s structure, there’s so much love in the story that it asks the emotional question: can fathers and sons come out of their differences and make a way to face each other and share their love for each other?
Asha Bhosle Connection Adds Emotional Weight
The film also got a lot of attention because it features a song recorded by legendary singer Asha Bhosle. The song is called ‘Ae Meri Zindagi, Tu Chupi Hai Kahan’ and is going to be released on September 8, Asha Bhosle’s birthday. Anshuman Jha has described the song as a deeply significant moment for him.
Produced under the First Ray Films banner, ‘Om Ka Hari’ has family drama and emotional and comedic elements to it.
With the father-son theme, the strong ensemble cast, and Varanasi setting, it is positioning itself as a story of relationships, generational differences, and those words that families sometimes struggle to tell.
As September 18 comes into sight, we’ll be looking at Anshuman Jha and Raghubir Yadav and how they will translate this complicated father-son bond onto the big screen.
