Deepika Padukone is now in the middle of much speculation about Brahmastra 2. Reports that she would return for the eagerly awaited sequel have been circulating in the Hindi film industry. She has now dismissed the rumours and says she is not going to be in the second one.
Deepika has not signed any agreement with the makers of Brahmastra 2, her team added. So this puts to rest the speculation that she would reprise her role as Amrita, the mother of Shiva, in the next movie.
Deepika made a short but significant appearance in the first part of the Brahmastra franchise. She played Amrita, who would be connected to the larger mythology of the Astraverse in the later chapters. She was only in the first film, but her character was a surprise.
