Drishyam The Conclusion Trailer Gets U/A 16+ Certification; Ajay Devgn Set for Star-Studded Goa Launch
The buzz around Drishyam The Conclusion is high as the trailer of the third instalment has been approved by the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification). The trailer has been certified as U/A 16+ and will be released on the ground before its theatrical release.
According to reports, the promo has a runtime of 2 minutes and 52 seconds and received its certification on September 1. Now that certification is complete, focus is on the much-anticipated trailer launch, which is expected to take place at a grand event in Goa on September 8 or September 9.
The reported Goa event is expected to bring together the film's major cast members such as Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj. The franchise has a continuity based on this as Drishyam 2 was launched in the same location in 2022.
Ajay Devgn is returning to the franchise as Vijay Salgaonkar, the protagonist at the center of the film. Tabu plays Meera Deshmukh again and Shriya Saran and Rajat Kapoor also come back to the story. Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj will be in the franchise as well.
Jaideep Ahlawat will depict Rajveer Singh Tomar, an SP Crime Branch officer and the new investigator will bring a new element to Vijay Salgaonkar's increasingly intricate situation. Prakash Raj, on the other hand, joins the franchise as lawyer Indrajith Shetty, adding another important character to the Salgaonkar family struggle.
The U/A 16+ certification has further raised the curiosity about the content and tone of the trailer. The certification in itself does not reveal the plot but indicates the promo contains material that falls within the U/A 16+ classification.
The new trailer is highly significant as Drishyam The Conclusion has been positioned as the concluding chapter of the much talked about Hindi Drishyam story. The franchise is well established in suspense, family loyalty, police investigation and Vijay Salgaonkar’s ability to stay ahead of those attempting to uncover the truth.
The previous films left audiences with many questions about the Salgaonkar family’s secrets. The third movie will take us there and conclude the main conflict. The new characters played by Ahlawat and Prakash Raj are also expected to add some additional layers to the narrative.
The makers have already started to increase promotion efforts ahead of the film’s theatrical release. The first-look posters featuring the principal cast were released recently, and Ajay Devgn has been building the hype for his return as Vijay Salgaonkar.
Drishyam The Conclusion is directed by Abhishek Pathak, who has also co-written the screenplay with Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh. The film is produced by Star Studio18 and Alok Jain, Ajit Andhare, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak.
The film is expected to be released on October 2, 2026 and will coincide with Gandhi Jayanti. That’s roughly a month for the makers to build momentum after the trailer launch.
For the franchise's fans, the Goa event could be a major promotional event. With the trailer already cleared and the theatrical launch reportedly set for September 8 or 9, now it seems the focus is on the full-length version of Vijay Salgaonkar’s last chapter.
The combination of Ajay Devgn’s return, the franchise’s suspense-driven appeal, returning cast members and new additions like Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj have made Drishyam The Conclusion one of the most eagerly awaited Hindi movies of the upcoming festive season.
