Priyanka Chopra Jonas Unveils Fierce Mandakini Look for Varanasi on Her 44th Birthday
Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ 44th birthday brought a proud look at S.S. Rajamouli’s ambitious epic Varanasi. The striking poster introduces her as Mandakini, with a description of her being “graceful when she smiles; fire when she doesn’t.” Priyanka’s screen presence was instantly hailed and her regal look was praised.
Directed by the film's hit director S.S. Rajamouli, Varanasi is one of the most eagerly awaited Indian movies in production and is due to be released on an international release date of April 7, 2027. Mahesh Babu plays Rudhra as the lead and Prithviraj Sukumaran plays the villain Kumbha, and all three actors are expected to play a great three-dimensional and big.
Varanasi is shot around the world, according to its makers, including Antarctica, Africa, and a fully reconstructed version of the ancient city of Varanasi. The movie is based on mythology, ancient artifacts, and time-hopping trips of its characters through time. Part of the film has been shot in real wildlife in Kenya’s Maasai Mara, which is very different from what we have seen in Indian movies.

The first-look poster received an overwhelmingly good reception from fans who praised Priyanka’s tough face, elegant costume design, and great aura. The actress’ portrayal of Mandakini could go down in history as one of her most defining performances.
