Ramayana Gets Early Australia Release: Ranbir Kapoor’s Epic to Hit Theatres Ahead of Godzilla Minus Zero
Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash-starrer Ramayana: Part 1 will make its Australian debut on November 5, 2026. The Indian epic will be released one day before the international release date and just before the eagerly awaited Japanese monster film Godzilla Minus Zero.
Ramayana: Part 1 will be released in Australia on November 5, according to Sony Pictures Australia. Godzilla Minus Zero, directed by Takashi Yamazaki, is coming to Australian cinemas on November 6.
The one-day head start could be useful for Ramayana especially during the important festive period. With both films expected to be major theatrical spectacles, the Australian market could see its audience interest in those two big-budget productions almost immediately.
Ramayana gets a one-day head start
The early Australian release means that in the country, audiences can watch Ramayana: Part 1 a day before the film’s wider international release date. The film will be released in India and many other international markets on November 6, 2026.
It might look like a small difference for a movie to have an early opening day but big movies of that kind are usually big movies and you can use it in that moment. It gives the movie time to get their first reaction from the audience before another movie with big names is played.
