Salman Khan is again at the center of online debate after his comments on the NEET-related protests and environmental activist Sonam Wangchuk's hunger strike stirred up a lot of discussion on social media.

The actor initially complimented students who protested peacefully because they were concerned about the purported leak in the NEET examination. The fans were happy that he spoke on the subject so many students feel.

Viral message to Sonam Wangchuk

And after Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised action would be taken on the issues raised by protesters, Salman Khan sent another message calling for the demonstrations to end.

Salman wrote in a casual tone to Sonam Wangchuk:

"Sonam, it's done, bro. Eat something."

The simple comment quickly spread, and celebrity posts were rampant on social media all day. Many memes, edited images and funny videos were created on the actor’s comment and people were laughing, with many saying it was an unexpected phenomenon.

Mixed Reactions Online

Salman Khan's comments had sharply divided reactions.

Many supporters praised him for urging a peaceful resolution after assurance from the government that Wangchuk would be peaceful, and felt that his message was optimistic and concerned for Wangchuk’s health.

Others, however, criticized the actor, saying he softened his position too quickly and questioned his decision to ask protesters to end their agitation. The debate soon spread on social media platforms, where users discussed the role of celebrities in commenting on public issues.

Wangchuk Ends Hunger Strike

After meeting government representatives, Sonam Wangchuk ended the hunger strike and finished his fast at a hospital in front of ministers after getting assurance that the concerns raised by the protesters would be addressed.

Salman’s message and the end of the fast happened on the same day, but there is no evidence that his post influenced Wangchuk’s decision. The hunger strike was officially ended after negotiations and government assurance.

Gym Photo Adds to the Buzz

Amid the online debate, Salman Khan also posted pictures of the way he goes about his gym routine. His physique was praised by fans, and many said he is still in his fitness phase as he approaches 60.

The gym photos went viral quickly and added another layer to the day’s online conversation and put attention back on the actor’s upcoming film projects.

Despite the mixed reactions surrounding his remarks, Salman Khan continues to enjoy a massive fan following. His social media posts regularly generate millions of views and spark widespread discussion.

With several films in the pipeline and his latest comments dominating online conversations, Salman remains one of Bollywood's most talked-about personalities. Whether through his movies, public statements, or fitness updates, the actor continues to command attention across entertainment and social media platforms.
