Siddhant Chaturvedi and Alizeh Agnihotri are coming together for a new romantic drama film by filmmaker Vikas Bahl. This music-driven drama is tentatively titled "Tribe" and will take place in the world of Punjabi music in the UK in the 90s. The casting of the two is quite a cool one - the "Gully Boy" actor and Alizeh, who made a very good debut with "Farrey".

According to reports, Vikas Bahl has settled Siddhant and Alizeh as the lead pair for the film. We can expect romance, ambition and questions of identity to come alive and the British Punjabi music scene is going to be very well developed in the movie. The music will be very strong, and the story is going to be around the music scene.
The setting that we reported in 1990s Britain could give "Tribe" a unique cultural identity. Punjabi music in the UK was developing a distinctive sound in the decade after this time as folk music was mixed with Western musical styles as a result. But the Bhangra-fusion movement was now a significant part of the cultural expression of the Punjabi diaspora and it was soon adopted well beyond the British-Asian community.
In "Tribe", Siddhant Chaturvedi is going to play a drummer and Alizeh Agnihotri is going to play a singer. Their characters are expected to be at the intersection of love, music and personal aspirations. With a musical backdrop, the film will be able to marry the romance of coming-of-age with culture and young artists’ aspirations to be in charge of their identity.
Siddhant’s collaboration with Vikas Bahl is not entirely new. The actor has already collaborated with the director on "Dil Ka Darwaza Khol Na Darling", another project that is currently awaiting release. But "Tribe" would offer the actor a different kind of role one that has a lot to do with music and Punjabi culture.
Alizeh continues to build her filmography following her debut in "{Farrey". Her performance in the film made her in the media and made her one of the young actors to watch in Hindi cinema. Working with an established filmmaker in Vikas Bahl and Siddhant is a big step in her career.
Vikas Bahl has been the master of creating characters who are struggling with personal obstacles and experiencing a transformation in their lives. If he decides to set his next romantic tale in the UK Punjabi music of the 1990s the genre might be a new one. Rather than a modern day love story, the movie seems to be set in a period-specific culture.
The project is reported to be an original story and not connected to the Hollywood film "CODA". This clarification is particularly relevant given that there are reports comparing elements of the film’s setting or themes to other international movies. "Tribe" is to be of its own story, and the world of UK Punjabi music is the central component.
As of September, filming in the UK is planned. If the schedule is on track the makers would like to finish filming by the end of the year. The film is currently being prepared to be released in the middle of 2027, but as of now there is no official release date.
The makers have not formally announced the title, cast or other details of the project. So the reported information remains under official confirmation. Details of the storyline, supporting cast, music and release plans will be out once the production team makes a formal announcement.
Vikas Bahl’s direction (Siddhant Chaturvedi and Alizeh Agnihotri) could put together a visually rich and musically driven romance with "Tribe". The 1990s UK setting, Punjabi musical influences and young actors on board could bring the project to an edge in the upcoming Hindi film field. Now we wait for this collaboration to be announced and the first glimpse.
