Sohail Khan has finally addressed the speculation about his 12-kg weight loss during his time on the reality show Alliance, where he had been seen as an actor-producer. He had been much-talked-about for his weight loss on social media as well as about whether Ozempic or other weight-loss pills were to blame for his 12-kg weight loss.

Sohail has now denied those claims and said that his weight loss was related to a combination of a stomach infection, controlled eating and the physically demanding experience of spending five weeks on the reality show.
A stomach bug changed his eating habits
Sohail told Hindustan Times that his first experience on Alliance was challenging. It was his first reality-show appearance, and he said he initially felt somewhat claustrophobic.
As he came to visit for the first week of his stay, he developed a stomach bug, and it added to the challenge. Despite being ill, Sohail continued his journey on the show for around five weeks.
He also said that his fellow contestants had been there for him during a difficult time. The people he met during the show taught him to hope, and he also went to them for support and friendship, he said.
The illness also made him change his eating habits. Sohail had to become more careful about what he consumed so that he could be fit enough to participate in the show's physical challenges.
His restricted food intake and the activities he did on the show led him to drastically reduce his weight.
Sohail confirms he lost 12 kg
The weight loss was not only observed by viewers. Salman Khan himself revealed during Alliance that he had lost 12 kg.
His transformation was even more evident in pictures and videos from the show's wrap-up celebrations. His sudden transformation then generated new speculation about how he had accomplished it.
Sohail has now provided his own explanation, while directly answering the rumours around his transformation.
‘No Ozempic, no fat burners’
Sohail specifically denied speculation that he had used Ozempic or fat-burning supplements to lose weight.
He said about the rumours in his interview with Hindustan Times: “So no Ozempic, no fat burners, I’m only taking pure and loads of love and affection from everyone.”
His remarks came after his weight loss had spurred much online commentary about how weight loss drugs or supplements might have caused it.
The actor goes on to say that he does not attribute his weight loss to these products. He put it down to falling ill, changing his diet and staying active while on Alliance.
It is important to note that Sohail's explanation is based on his own account. There is no publicly available independent medical documentation to demonstrate exactly how much each factor contributed to the 12-kg reduction.
Five weeks on Alliance
Sohail’s experience on Alliance seems to have had a ripple effect beyond his appearance. The actor-producer described the contestants he met during the show as a “new family and friends” and said he hoped the relationships would persist even after the programme had ended.
The reality-show environment put the contestants in an unusual setting of a very small amount of personal space, physical difficulties and continuous interaction with other contestants.
For Sohail, the combination of illness, dietary changes and the demands of the show coincided with a major change in his appearance.
Sohail puts speculation to rest
The actor's comments provide his clearest explanation yet for the transformation that attracted attention during and after Alliance.
Rather than a publicly announced celebrity weight-loss program, Sohail says his 12-kg reduction occurred after a stomach bug changed his eating habits and he continued to participate in the reality show.
His denial of Ozempic and fat burners also directly addresses one of the most persistent rumours about his appearance.
As for now, Sohail’s own account suggests the transformation was the result of an unexpected combination of illness, controlled eating, physical activity and his five-week experience on Alliance.
