Taapsee Pannu Wants to Break Her Intense Image With a Romantic Comedy: ‘Nobody Can Imagine Me in a Love Story’
Taapsee Pannu said that she is looking to work in the romantic comedy genre and that she has difficulty picturing her in a love story. As an actress who has played strong and tough women, she feels that her screen image is so closely associated with serious roles that audiences and filmmakers forget her ability to portray vulnerable, romantic, light-hearted characters.
Taapsee, who has established her own identity in Hindi films in films like Pink, Thappad, Saand Ki Aankh, Rashmi Rocket and Manmarziyaan, recently said she would like to do a light-hearted romantic comedy. So it is a new adventure to be in a genre that audiences will not know about, and for her that is a very exciting change.
The actress’ comments also demonstrate how the body of work of an actor affects what screen scripts they are given. Taapsee has frequently portrayed strong women, in difficult situations, in emotional struggle and in social problems.
