Varun Dhawan Gives Family A Peek Into Singapore Getaway, Introduces Natasha And Lara To His Wax Double
Varun Dhawan provides his family with a glimpse of his Singapore vacation with wife Natasha Dalal and daughter Lara. The actor offered a glimpse into his personal life through a series of photographs, but kept his daughter's face away from the camera.
One interesting moment during the trip was when the family visited Madame Tussauds Singapore. Varun showed Natasha and Lara his wax figure at the popular attraction and it was one of those moments in the family life time experience. Sharing pictures on Instagram, the actor said it was a “core memory” and thanked Madame Tussauds Singapore for the hospitality.
The pictures show Varun, Natasha and Lara interacting at the attraction. In an especially cute photo, Lara looks fondly at her father’s wax statue and seems curious about the larger-than-life figure in front of her. Varun was also beside his wax double, which made it even more special for his fans.
The actor also shared some glimpses of the family’s time outdoors. In one picture he carries Lara in his arms as they enjoy a beachside moment. Other photographs show different parts of their holiday, including moments from their travels and what appear to be memories from their Bali vacation as well.
Varun has generally preferred to keep his daughter out of the public eye. Since Lara was born the actor and Natasha have been very careful about revealing details or taking pictures of their little one. Even in this recent post Varun was still using that approach and he showed fans what happens in their family without Lara’s face in the picture.
On the photographs shared, Varun wrote: “Core memory unlocked. Showed my wife and daughter my statue. Thank u Madame Tussaud’s Singapore for the hospitality.” The simple caption gave an insight into how big the experience was for the actor who got to introduce his family to a representation of his career and public journey.
The post attracted Varun’s friends, colleagues and fans immediately. Actress and designer Masaba Gupta added a playful comment that Lara deserves a statue of her own because she is their “Queen.” And fans also poured in loving comments, many saying they couldn’t help but laugh when they saw the actor enjoy a relaxed family vacation.
Several fans were especially interested in Lara’s reaction to the wax figure. One hilarious comment imagined the toddler seeing her father’s popular movie character come to life, and others described her as cute and wished the family joy. And the post got tons of heart emojis from fans who enjoyed the rare family glimpse.
Varun’s recent holiday is also coming at a time when the actor has a lot of interesting projects on his plate. Recently he was seen in Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai alongside Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde. He’s always been in that kind of genre, mixing commercial entertainment with new characters.
Meanwhile, Varun is also set to make Yash Raj Films' first horror movie. As per reports, the yet-to-be-titled film will be directed by Abhay Pannu, who has worked on Rocket Boys. If this happens as reported, it will be a great addition to Varun’s filmography and YRF's slate.
The horror project will go to the floors later this year and there is talk of a theatrical release in 2027. Details on the plot and Varun’s character have not been revealed yet but the collaboration has already generated interest among Bollywood fans.
But for now Varun seems to be finding himself in a quieter period away from film sets. His Singapore photos show the actor as a husband and father and a lot of fun with Natasha and Lara. From introducing his family to his wax figure to hanging out on the beach, the trip seems to have helped Varun make personal memories away from the constant media attention of being a Bollywood star.
