The first teaser for Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia’s next supernatural thriller Vvaan: Force of the Forest is out, but now a world of ancient beliefs, unexplained forces and a forest that seems to possess a dark secret.
The teaser doesn’t waste much time establishing the film’s surreal and unsettling atmosphere. With a forest and a small village in the background, the glimpse suggests a story that’s supernatural and mythological, with action and suspense.
Vvaan Teaser Sets Up A Forbidden World
The teaser opens with a chilling warning that immediately establishes the central mystery surrounding the forest: “Suryast ke baad, Vvaan mein pravesh karna varjit hai,” which translates to “Entering Vvaan after sunset is forbidden.”
The warning is followed by references to an unknown demonic force guarding the village. There is another message at the entrance that entry is not allowed; the history of the place indicates that people who have tried to enter the forest at night have never come back.
This enigmatic setup gives the sense of danger in Vvaan and the mystery of the supernatural dimension and all that’s hidden in its vicinity.
Sidharth Malhotra’s character gets pulled into The Mystery
Sidharth Malhotra appears to be at the center of the unfolding supernatural mystery. The teaser introduces his character through an action-packed sequence, with the actor seen fighting, being attacked, and finally getting caught up in circumstances beyond his control.
With very few visions (and many more dreams), his character is awed and anxious and searching for answers. The teaser is full of the huge image of Goddess Durga in the jungle.
The imagery suggests the protagonist's connection with Vaan could be connected to something much larger than an ordinary adventure. His journey into the forbidden forest seems to be driven by destiny, forcing him to confront mysterious forces and discover the truth behind the visions.
The teaser also contains a number of striking elements of the supernatural atmosphere, such as a temple, wild animals and a menacing red-eyed tiger, adding to the supernatural atmosphere.
Tamannaah Bhatia’s introduction is another layer.
Tamannaah Bhatia is introduced in a traditional setting with the actress at a ghat praying alongside other women.
While the teaser does not tell much about her character, her character is very much an extension of the larger spiritual and supernatural world that the film represents. The brief look at her is still to be seen and thus adds an extra layer of intrigue to this story.
Sidharth is also seen praying to Lord Shiva on a snow-covered mountain, and the film is still very much associated with mythology and spirituality.
The contrast between the sacred imagery and the terrifying supernatural forces appears to be one of the key visual themes of Vvaan.
A Mix of Mythology, Horror and Action
Vvaan: Force of the Forest seems to me to have a lot of genres in it from its teaser. The film is a hybrid of supernatural mystery with action, mythology, and horror, and the forbidden forest represents the central venue for the story.
The teaser is purposefully kept secret and focuses on the curiosity about Vaan controlling him. The warnings, unexplained visions, religious imagery, and supernatural encounters all indicate the film would gradually reveal the secrets hidden in the forest.
Sidharth’s action sequences also indicate that the film will not rely solely on horror or suspense. The actor appears to have a physically demanding role as he battles forces that seem to be beyond the ordinary.
Vvaan: Force of the Forest
Vvaan: Force of the Forest is presented by Balaji Motion Pictures, a division of Balaji Telefilms, in collaboration with TVF and 11.11 Production.
The film is managed by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Arunabh Kumar and Niraj Kothari. Arunabh Kumar wrote the film and Deepak Mishra has directed it.
Manu Anand is the director of photography and visual director of the film, and the dark forest, the supernatural, and the mystery of the world all come to life.
The film will be released on September 25, 2026.
And with Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead and the teaser hinting at a dark world of forbidden forests, supernatural forces, and ancient beliefs, Vvaan has already created curiosity among moviegoers. The teaser will only show fragments of the story, and its release may only be a little more intriguing.
