Yash Raj Films (YRF) has officially announced that its untitled action-romance directed by Ali Abbas Zafar will hit theatres on March 26, 2027, coinciding with the Good Friday weekend. Ahaan Panday and Sharvari are playing the leads and it will be one of the studio’s biggest releases of 2027.
As a film from a top talent agency in India, YRF is really excited and has big plans for it. Aaishvary Thackeray plays the main villain and Bobby Deol plays a crucial role in this film.
The film is Ali Abbas Zafar's fifth collaboration with producer Aditya Chopra and Yash Raj Films. In the last few years, Zafar has produced several big hit movies with the YRF banner, including Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai. And his history of mixing big action with heartwarming stories is very much appreciated for this film.
The announcement also comes at a critical time in Ahaan Panday's career. After the huge success of his first movie Saiyaara, the young actor has quickly emerged as one of Bollywood’s most promising new stars. The association with Sharvari, who has earned a huge reputation with her performances, has created a lot of excitement among moviegoers.
According to reports, production has already completed major shooting schedules in the United Kingdom and many of the big-scale action sequences and romantic sequences have been shot earlier this year. The remaining schedules are expected to be completed in the coming months, allowing the post-production schedule to be completed in time for the 2027 release.
The March 26, 2027 Good Friday holiday is seen as a strategic move by YRF. The longer holiday weekend historically has great box office potential, so this gives the best opportunity for a big commercial entertainer to hit audiences of all ages.
YRF has never made the movie in a way that hasn’t been so much about introducing new talent and developing young talent within an industry that is also a big show that I can see how that is the brand’s strength. If it were to do so, we would have a franchise-quality project with young stars, a world-class director, and a well-established casting team.
Bobby Deol, who has had a career renaissance with some of his best performances in recent years, only adds to the appeal. And Aaishvary Thackeray is supposed to bring a lot more intensity to the action-packed narrative.
Although no title or plot for the film is known yet, the talent and success of the previous collaborations with Ali Abbas Zafar and YRF are high.
Now that its release date is officially set for March 26, 2027, the untitled action-romance has become one of the most eagerly awaited Bollywood movies on the calendar. Production will continue, so we hope for the first teaser, title details, and for Ahaan Panday and Sharvari to have chemistry to be seen on the big screen.
