The Devil has already been released in theatres and OTT and now is going to become the next World Television Premiere of challenging star Darshan’s film. The Kannada action drama is played by Darshan in a dual role and will be broadcast on Zee Kannada on August 30 at 7 PM. Anyone who saw the film in cinemas or was not able to watch it on the OTT platform can now see it at home.

Darshan’s The Devil Set for World Television Premiere on August 30

The television premiere will be of great interest to Darshan’s fans as the movie has already been shown in the theater and digital. There is political drama, family relationships, leadership and responsibility in an allegory of Darshan, but Darshan is two different people.

The Devil World Television Premiere

The Devil will make its world television premiere on Zee Kannada on August 30 at 7 PM. The TV premiere will allow for the movie to be seen, and maybe those who haven’t heard of it before can see it.

The film is based on a political family and the difficulties that arise when two men who are very similar in appearance are drawn into the same family and political environment. Darshan plays both Dhanush Rajasekhar and Krishna so that he can play two characters with different character types, backgrounds and motivations.

What is The Devil About?

The story is very much a political one and deals with power, leadership, responsibility and identity. Dhanush Rajasekhar is the son of Chief Minister Rajasekhar, played by the veteran actor Mahesh Manjrekar. Dhanush doesn’t want to join politics and likes to stay away from politics.

Dhanush is in London and not subject to the political duties of his family. Krishna is also played by Darshan, who has an entirely different life. He runs a hotel and dreams of becoming an actor.

The real turning point in the story is that Dhanush and Krishna look very similar. Since Krishna is very similar to Dhanush, circumstances force him to be in Dhanush's position. So what initially appears to be a temporary arrangement becomes much more complex.

Krishna starts to gain people’s confidence. He also forms a bond with Rukmini, played by Rachana Rai. Krishna settles down into the life that he never had to start with, and this story takes another major turn when Dhanush returns.

The real Dhanush’s arrival opens up questions about identity, loyalty and the impact of the decisions made in his absence. This is at the heart of the movie’s central conflict.

Darshan in a Dual Role

Darshan's duality in The Devil is one of the main attractions. Playing two characters simultaneously in the same film is very difficult, and the actor has to differentiate their personalities, mannerisms and emotional responses. Dhanush and Krishna have different shades, so the contrast between the two characters is very important in the narrative.

Directed by Prakash Veer, the film has an ensemble cast with Rachana Rai, Mahesh Manjrekar, Achyuth Kumar and Sharmiela Mandre in the lead roles.

Film’s Release During Darshan’s Legal Troubles

The TV premiere also takes place in the context of Darshan’s legal troubles in relation to the Renukaswamy murder case. The actor was already in jail when The Devil was released in theatres, so it was a big deal for his fans and the Kannada film industry.

The movie’s TV premiere will happen now that Darshan is in custody, and that’s another unusual chapter in the film’s release. But no matter what you do, the movie has managed to reach people through different channels and the audience has kept it going.

With The Devil coming to Zee Kannada, Darshan’s fans will be able to see his dual-role performance again. The World Television premiere will be on August 30 at 7 PM, which will be a big weekend TV event for Kannada movie fans.
