Kiara Advani has finally spoken up about what convinced her to join Yash’s upcoming pan-India action drama Toxic: A Fairytale For Grown-Ups. The film has received huge fanfare before it’s even released and Kiara has said the depth and complexity of her character was what got her to join it.

Kiara told Femina about how the film’s narrative left a mark on her. She said she was captivated by the way her character was written and it was the kind of challenging role she had been waiting for her whole life.

"When I heard the narration, I was mesmerised by how well fleshed out this character was, all the meat an actor longs for. I felt I had reached a place in my career where I was confident enough to take on such a character," Kiara said.

Although the makers have not revealed the details of her role based on the promotional material, a very recent promotional material has only caused fanfare. Kiara will play Nadia, a mysterious and powerful character whose chemistry with Yash stands as one of the biggest talking points of the film.

Kiara has been presented in her first-look posters and promotional images in a glamorous, yet very aggressive manner, and Toxic will present her in one of her most radical roles to date. Although fans have described the film as her boldest project so far, the full nature of her character is still something of a secret.

Directed by renowned filmmaker Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairytale For Grown-Ups is one of the biggest Indian movies to release in 2026. Yash plays the lead in the gangster drama, with Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth.

Kiara has also had so many years of strong performances in the movies from a variety of genres she can look back on. A big-scale pan-India production of Toxic proves that she is willing to deal with more difficult roles.

The movie has already generated significant anticipation with the release of its teaser, character posters, and promotional assets. For the fans waiting for the trailer launch, the dynamic between Kiara and Yash is especially interesting.

Industry observers believe Toxic could be one of the biggest releases of the year, combining a big cast, big production values, and Geetu Mohandas’ storytelling style. Kiara’s comments have generated much more interest in the film, and audiences look forward to the performance she describes as one of the most fulfilling roles of her career.

With Toxic: A Fairytale For Grown-Ups on its way to release, Kiara Advani’s enthusiasm for her character is just as enthusiastic as the movie’s. If her comments are to be believed, we can expect to see the actress in a bold, emotionally rich, and career-defining role alongside Yash.
