In the Kannada and other South Indian film industry, the veteran actress Suman Ranganath has been in controversy as she is also a part of the recent stir with her upcoming film Tadviruddha to be released in Kannada soon, which will be released on July 31.
Charmian Motion Pictures (the film’s production arm) has filed a complaint against the actress with the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) for not being available for promotional activities.
The production house has expressed concern about the absence of Suman Ranganath at promotional events planned before the movie’s theatrical release, according to the complaint. The filmmakers say they asked her to attend, were in contact and tried to get her in, but she did not make it to the promotional activities planned.
As the release date approaches, the issue has stirred up the Kannada film industry, where promotional campaigns are considered an important part of a film's commercial strategy.
Complaint Submitted to KFCC
Producers have approached the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce to intervene in the matter. One of the major industry bodies that deals with producers, distributors, exhibitors, and artists in the Kannada film industry, the KFCC.

As of now, Suman Ranganath has not publicly responded to the production house's allegations.
