Dulquer Salmaan’s I’m Game Postponed From August 20 Onam Release

Dulquer Salmaan’s much awaited Malayalam film I’m Game has been postponed from its scheduled release date of August 20, 2026. When first announced, the action thriller was one of the major Onam releases, but now says it is pulled out of the festive race because post-production is not yet complete.

Directed by Nahas Hidhayath, I’m Game marks Dulquer Salmaan’s return to Malayalam cinema and is an ambitious action thriller. It’s produced by Dulquer under Wayfarer Films and has a cast of Antony Varghese, Kayadu Lohar, Mysskin and Vinay Forrt. The project was initially set up on August 20 for worldwide theatrical release.

This postponement is particularly important with the festival season and the release of many important films in Malayalam cinema. I’m Game was expected to make it into festival season and the film needed to be done well in order to get there. They would rather complete post-production work well than make this movie on schedule as it was published.

The film has aroused lots of interest because of its beautiful and bright presentation of Dulquer’s character. A huge shooting schedule across more than 100 locations was involved in production and filming, and the production was ended after a lengthy period. The technical team includes Jakes Bejoy who works on music and Chaman Chacko as editor, while cinematography was managed by Nimish Ravi and Jimshi Khalid.

It is not yet official to date a new release date. The postponement will give the team time to get the visual effects, editing and other work done before the next theatrical release date.
