The high-voltage, captive reality show Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa is officially at its height. After weeks of bitter rivalries, painful confessions, hard-to-do strategies and complicated tasks, the Netflix series is going to crown the winner of its second season. Co-hosted by filmmaker Farah Khan and actor Riteish Deshmukh, the show has kept audiences hooked since its launch on June 27; it blends jail-based mechanics and complex personal redemption stories at the jail with a great deal of depth and depth of human character development.
The grand finale will be aired on Netflix on the 5th of August. The remaining contestants will have to go through one last round of rigorous tests before the final winner is declared. A special jury of media personalities and celebrities— Prince Narula, Shiv Thakare and Awez Darbar— will interrogate the top competitors on their gameplay, key decisions and their journeys in the house. The grand finale will also be filled with memorable stage performances of the finalists and special performances of former contestants Pamela Serena, Varun Yadav and Awez Darbar.
After a series of dramatic eliminations and tactical twists, the competition is down to the top five contestants Shreya Kalra, Shivangi Joshi, Yogesh Rawat, Ram Kapoor and Shilpa Shinde.
Varun Yadav, also known as Laila, was the last inmate to be evicted just before the finale. The bottom two are always in the mix with Shivangi Joshi and Shreya Kalra (and the few remaining contenders in the league) as they are the ones who have the most passionate fans and the other two are known to win the fight online.
The stakes are so high at this point. Lock Upp Season 2’s champion will win the gleaming championship trophy and we expect a huge cash prize of ₹1 crore for him. Besides the monetary rewards, the show also let celebrities face their past controversies and open up about the personal stuff that is very personal. And when the prison gates are locked for the last time this season, we know which of the five finalists will turn weeks of struggle and emotional fortitude into a historic victory.
