Viral photos showing the actress Nayanthara shaved her head at Tirumala ahead of the release of Toxic are spreading on social media. The pictures show the actress with a completely shaved head during a temple visit, leading to speculation that she had offered her hair at the Tirumala temple.
However, the viral pictures are digitally altered and do not show Nayanthara after actually shaving her head.
Fact Check: Nayanthara's viral bald photos are edited
The images on social media, particularly on X, seem to show Nayanthara visiting Tirumala with a bald head. Several posts also shared the images and claimed that the actress had tonsured her head at the temple ahead of Toxic.
But a closer look at the images shows evidence of digital manipulation. The viral versions appear to have been created with AI or digitally edited, with Nayanthara's hair removed, and most of the other aspects of the original photographs remained largely unchanged.
The outfit and earrings seen in the viral images correspond to photographs from an earlier visit to Tirumala.
Did Nayanthara actually shave her head?
No. There is no credible evidence that Nayanthara shaved her head during her Tirumala visit.
The original photographs are from Nayanthara's visit to Tirumala in April this year, when she visited the temple with her husband, filmmaker Vignesh Shivan.
Nayanthara can be seen with her hair intact in the authentic photographs. The digitally manipulated versions seem to take those genuine images as the source and change her hair and appearance to make it seem like she had shaved her head.
Therefore, the claim that Nayanthara recently went bald at Tirumala ahead of Toxic is false.

The images gained traction because of Nayanthara’s upcoming film projects and the anticipation around Toxic. And with the actress set to appear alongside Yash in the highly anticipated film, any major change in her appearance is likely to attract considerable attention online.

In this case, the viral images appear to have taken an authentic temple-visit photograph and digitally changed Nayanthara’s hair.
