The much awaited Tamil film “Dharman” starring Rajinikanth has been slowly building up the anticipation for next year’s movie with its star power, music and action.
This is Rajinikanth’s 173rd movie and is directed by Ashwath Marimuthu and produced by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International.
The filmmakers have already created curiosity with Rajinikanth’s dark and frightening first look as a mysterious doctor, and the movie is far from being a mystery.
Dharman has the technical crew. Anirudh Ravichander is composing music for the film and we’re looking forward to his high-energy musical style to Rajinikanth’s next project.
He has previously worked with the Superstar on movies like Petta, Darbar and Jailer and that is another big deal for fans, and if he is back the music director will be famous for his music he will have to bring his musical style to Rajinikanth.
The action department is also good. National Award-winning stunt choreographers Anbariv are leading the action sequences. The duo are known for staging big-scale and physically intense stunt sequences, so they will create a strong action vibe for Dharman.
And with the film’s dark and intense visual impact, their involvement is particularly important.
Dharman has already generated a lot of buzz with its first-look poster, which shows Rajinikanth in blue medical scrubs with a bloodstained surgical instrument.
The poster carries the tagline 'Dharmame Vellum', which is roughly to say ‘Justice will prevail.’ The unusual doctor avatar has created a lot of speculation as to what exactly his character is.
The film also stars Simran, Raashii Khanna and Yogi Babu playing big roles. Rajinikanth and Simran reunite after their appearance in Petta, which is a nostalgic aspect for Tamil cinema audience.
With cinematography by Niketh Bommi and editing by Pradeep E. Ragav, Dharman brings in an experienced technical team.
The movie is now in its second shooting schedule and recent promotional material unveils Rajinikanth’s new look and adds to the excitement surrounding the project.
Although much of the story has been kept secret by the filmmakers, Rajinikanth’s presence on screen, Anirudh's music and Anbariv’s action choreography makes Dharman one of the most eagerly awaited upcoming Tamil movies.
The release date for a theatrical release date hasn’t been announced yet, but every new update is only adding to the mounting expectations for another major Rajinikanth entertainer.
