Nitish Rajput Reportedly Joining Bigg Boss 20, YouTuber To Step Into Salman Khan’s TV World
Nitish Rajput is set to make his first TV appearance on "Bigg Boss 20" with the upcoming season of "Bigg Boss". Moneycontrol has reported that the popular digital innovator is among the names going to be part of "Bigg Boss 20", bringing an entirely different background to Salman Khan’s reality show's narrative and his own.
Nitish’s long-form videos have attracted a large audience because they cover subjects that are typically popular and cause debate among people. He covers current affairs, governance issues, social issues, history and so on; topics that are closely linked with events and conversations happening across the country.
If he is to be in "Bigg Boss 20", the reality show will be a major departure from what audiences have come to expect from him. Nitish would not be in front of the camera presenting researched topics and being in a situation where his personality, relationships and handling of pressure will be what matters most.
Nitish Rajput has also recently attracted attention with his content regarding the examination system. One of his videos concerning alleged problems related to examination processes, procurement and supplier management became a subject of discussion among students, examination candidates and social media users.
The dispute then turned into a legal matter. Eduquity Technologies allegedly filed a defamation suit for Rs 2.5 crore against the YouTuber, claiming that it was based on the information available in the public domain and official documents. Nitish has not commented about the lawsuit.
His entry into "Bigg Boss 20" may therefore allow us to see another side of the creator. His online presence has been more on research-led discussion and commentary, but "Bigg Boss" usually puts contestants in the middle of personal conflicts, emotional moments, strategic decisions and tasks, and constant interaction with fellow housemates.
The development also adds another layer to the contestant conjecture about the new season. In the past few weeks, some names have been linked to "Bigg Boss 20", including Kushal Tanwar, popularly known as Gullu, actress Khushi Dubey, rapper Santy Sharma, Isha Rikhi, Amrapali Dubey, Kanika Mann and influencer Arishfa Khan.
Other names rumored to be in the mix for the upcoming season include boxing legend Mary Kom, Aman Gandhi, Qazi Touqeer, Geeta Basra and Showik Chakraborty. However, contestant lists circulating before the premiere should be treated as rumors and speculation until the producers officially announce the full lineup.
Nitish joining the show is especially significant because digital creators are now a big part of mainstream entertainment. "Bigg Boss" has opened its doors to personalities from all walks of life, including social media influencers, YouTubers, television personalities and public figures.
Nitish’s entrance into the "Bigg Boss" house would open him up to an audience that is not just rooted in his digital following. At the same time, the format would test how he handles the things he cannot prepare for ahead of time, like disagreements, group dynamics, nominations and unexpected challenges.
Salman Khan is expected to return as the host for "Bigg Boss 20". The new season will be broadcast on September 6 and will be available on Colors TV. It will also be shown on Jio Hotstar.
The last contestants are getting closer, and with the premiere not far away, the anticipation is on. If Nitish Rajput does come in the house, his transition from YouTube educator and commentator to reality-show contestant would be one of the most eagerly awaited aspects of the new season.
