Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju’s "Bethlehem Kudumba Unit" continues its successful theatrical journey and is still going strong even after 10 days at the box office. The movie has been led by Girish A.D. and it has been one of the best performers of the 2026 Onam season and is now on the way to the ₹100-crore India gross.

The movie "Bethlehem Kudumba Unit" has collected about ₹10.40 crore net in India on the 10th day of release. With this added, the total India net collection has reached around ₹82.45 crore. Its India gross is about ₹96.15 crore.
The Day 10 numbers are particularly encouraging as the movie has continued to have a strong theatrical run into the second week. So the movie has not actually disappeared after the first release period and has been drawing in audiences in theatres. And the net collection of ₹10.40 crore is also a bit better than the previous day which is telling that the movie is still drawing in an audience.
Film Eyes ₹100 Crore India Gross
With its India gross currently around ₹96.15 crore, "Bethlehem Kudumba Unit" needs around ₹3.85 crore more to cross the ₹100 crore mark in India. And given its current pace that is surely in its future.
The victory would further solidify the film’s status as one of the most successful Malayalam releases in 2026. And the movie has been particularly outstanding since it has been able to get huge collections after only the first week of release and that’s where many releases typically see a drop in footfalls.
The film collected around ₹52.30 crore net collections in India during the first seven days of operation. Second-weekend numbers in the second half of the month have helped the overall total to get closer to the coveted ₹100 crore gross target.
Overseas Market Boosts Worldwide Total
The film’s strong domestic success has been complemented by the strong sales from international markets. "Bethlehem Kudumba Unit" earned around ₹10 crore gross overseas on Day 10 alone, taking its overseas gross collection to around ₹98.50 crore.
The film’s global gross collection is now close to ₹195 crore combined with India gross and overseas revenue. The overseas numbers of the film have been a major factor in the success of the movie and show that there is a global audience for Malayalam cinema.
Malayalam films have more and more been receiving strong support from global audiences outside India, especially in markets with huge Malayali populations. "Bethlehem Kudumba Unit" seems to be able to take advantage of this growing international reach and make a good global footprint in a relatively short time.
Strong Word-of-Mouth Helps Film
The biggest factor for the movie’s sustained success in the film’s successful theatrical performance is the positive word-of-mouth. The film was released during the festive Onam period, when it was released and the movie was released during the holiday season and the film has a lot of audience availability and the movie had good word of mouth to sell and the traditional demand for family-friendly theatrical entertainment.
Family-based narrative and performances have been what has allowed the film to stay well-occupied even after the holiday season. Increasing weekday numbers have also been the main reason for the film’s impressive run.
The Onam release calendar welcomed a number of Malayalam movies which gave audiences an array of choices in the holiday season. But "Bethlehem Kudumba Unit" is still one of the strongest performers with its box office performance being one of the biggest releases of the season.
Another Successful Outing for Nivin Pauly
The success of "Bethlehem Kudumba Unit" is also a big theatrical victory for Nivin Pauly. Recently he has been receiving quite a lot of attention for this, as well and the film’s success will strengthen his position as a box office regular in Malayalam cinema.
Nivin Pauly’s presence has been one of the key attractions for the movie, while the ensemble cast and Girish A.D.’s direction have contributed to the film’s appeal.
Mamitha Baiju’s success marks yet another important achievement in a very busy field. She has been involved in several big projects in South Indian cinema and the response to "Bethlehem Kudumba Unit" will only increase her fanbase.
Film Could Cross More Milestones Soon
Interestingly, reports also put "Bethlehem Kudumba Unit" as Nivin Pauly’s second ₹100-crore film in a year after "Sarvam Maya". If the current theatrical momentum continues, the latest release could soon add another major milestone to his filmography.
The movie’s fast progress toward the ₹100-crore India gross mark is also significant for Malayalam cinema. At present, with an India gross of about ₹96.15 crore after 10 days, the film is just a few crores away from the milestone.
The filmmakers are also set to broaden the audience for the film. Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions will appear in theatres on September 4. The dubbed releases may also help to boost the film’s audience outside the Malayalam-speaking market.
All eyes will be on the film’s box office in the coming few days. So far "Bethlehem Kudumba Unit" is among the big Malayalam box office successes of 2026 with strong domestic collections, an impressive overseas performance, good word-of-mouth support and dubbed versions on the way!
The target still remains ₹100-crore India gross. But with its worldwide collection already approaching ₹195 crore, the movie may still make it through its run and become the one to watch and achieve some more milestones before it ends.
