Irumudi Box Office Collection Day 13: Ravi Teja Film Slows Down, Worldwide Total Nears Rs 192 Crore
Ravi Teja-starrer Irumudi continued its theatrical show with a big drop in collections on Day 13. As the film travelled further into the second week and reached the middle of its second week of its second-week run, its day-to-day income declined as compared to the previous day. The movie has been able to perform well at the box office despite this slow decline but has been able to perform in the box office and is at Rs 192 crore and around 200 crore gross collection worldwide.
According to Sacnilk, Irumudi collected almost Rs 4.10 crore net in India on Day 13. That is a drop of around 30.5 per cent from the Rs 5.90 crore net on Day 12. With the latest earnings added to its tally, the film’s total India net collection has reached Rs 146.15 crore.
The film's India gross collection is around Rs 169.80 crore. Irumudi added another Rs 30 lakh gross on Day 13 overseas, taking its overseas gross collection to Rs 21.80 crore. The film's worldwide gross collection is around Rs 191.60 crore in the domestic and international markets.
The Telugu version continued to generate almost the whole domestic business on Day 13. Of the total net collections of Rs 4.10 crore India (Telugu) net, around Rs 4.09 crore came from the Telugu version and Tamil version about Rs 1 lakh. The figures also illustrate the dominance of the Telugu market in the overall film's theatrical performance.
Andhra Pradesh and Telangana lead Day 13 Business
Andhra Pradesh and Telangana remained the key contributors to Irumudi's Day 13 earnings. Together, the two states generated around Rs 4.25 crore in gross revenue. Karnataka followed with about Rs 40 lakh and Tamil Nadu contributed about Rs 5 lakh.
The rest of India added another Rs 10 lakh to the day’s gross business. The film’s total gross collection on Day 13 was around Rs 4.80 crore across India.
Although the weekday slowdown is evident, the film has seen a great box office progression. Irumudi opened through India net on 21 August at the theater with an opening of Rs 15.30 crore. The movie went through a strong opening weekend with a total of Rs 16.20 crore on Day 2 and Rs 19 crore on Day 3.
Following the strong opening weekend, collections moderated out on the following weekdays. The film earned Rs 12.35 crore on Day 4 and Rs 12.20 crore on Day 5. Its Day 6 collection was Rs 10.20 crore and dropped to Rs 6.90 crore on Day 7. Irumudi earned Rs 92.15 crore net in India at the end of its first week.
The second weekend was even more of a boost. The film collected Rs 10.10 crore on Day 8 and Rs 12.30 crore on Day 9. Its biggest second-weekend figure came on Day 10 when it earned Rs 15 crore. The strong weekend performance allowed the movie to keep pace with its theater numbers before the daily numbers started to wane.
The downward trend was visible from Day 11 onwards. Irumudi earned Rs 6.60 crore on Day 11 and Rs 5.90 crore on Day 12. The Day 13 collection of Rs 4.10 crore is another step down as the movie enters the second week of its second week.
With India net collection of Rs 146.15 crore and worldwide gross of Rs 191.60 crore, Irumudi has been on a strong box office run. It will be to see how long the movie will remain able to maintain weekdays stable and get another boost on the weekend.
Irumudi is still on a strong commercial run despite its daily collections becoming less robust after an impressive opening phase and strong second weekend.
