‘Ramba Oorvasi Menaka’ Gets U/A Certificate; Allari Naresh’s Comedy Entertainer Set for September 4 Release
The wait is almost over for fans of Allari Naresh as his Telugu comedy entertainer ‘Ramba Oorvasi Menaka’ has passed censor with a U/A certificate. Now it will be released on September 4, 2026.
The censor clearance also removes the last hurdle before the film's theatrical release. The filmmakers celebrated it by declaring the film’s U/A Certified and “All Clear for Release,” and encouraged audiences to get ready for the entertainment to hit cinemas on September 4.
The certification is significant as the film is being positioned as a fantasy comedy entertainment with laughter and family-oriented theatrical entertainment. The film has been in recent promotional material, which has focused on mythology, fantasy, comedy, and Allari Naresh is returning to the genre that developed him as one of Telugu cinema’s most popular comic characters.
Ramba Oorvasi Menaka is a fantasy-based film, starring the celestial beauties Rambha, Urvashi, and Menaka, directed by Chandra Mohan Chintada. Suri (played by Allari Naresh in this film) has a dream of fulfilling it with the help of a mystical book associated with his family. His dreams are realized, and the three celestial characters arrive on Earth, leading to a series of comic situations and unexpected problems.
We designed the film to be an evolving version of the mythological and fantasy elements which are so popular in old-school Chandamama stories. The director has said he is interested in the way Chandamama stories are told and wanted to present it to current audiences.
