Prabhas’ highly anticipated film Spirit has been generating a lot of anticipation amongst moviegoers from day one. One of the most intriguing rumours surrounding the film was that South Korean action star Don Lee (Ma Dong-seok) would be part of the film.
But the latest update from the film team has put those rumours to rest. Don Lee will not be part of Spirit, according to the makers.
The actor himself had been the talk of the town as he has been making international action movies very popular. Don Lee is best known for Train to Busan, The Outlaws, and Eternals movies with action-oriented roles, and his physical presence and action-oriented performances have made him a big Korean star.
Don Lee was considered for Spirit
The film team has acknowledged that efforts were made to bring Don Lee into Spirit. But the discussions did not eventually translate into a role for the Korean actor.

Spirit is being developed as a crime action drama with Prabhas as the lead and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The story takes place in Hyderabad, and it was the makers who decided to bring Don Lee into the narrative; they felt that he didn’t fit in with the world created for the film.
Instead of only an international actor for the star value, the team seemed to have focused on the story and character.

According to the filmmakers, Don Lee’s presence would not be natural to fit the Hyderabad-based narrative.
