Vishwak Sen’s long awaited film Legacy is now at the end of its shooting and it is just the last time that its team is in Madanapalle. The fact that this is happening is a major step for the upcoming political action drama and has been eagerly awaited for a long time now because of its characters, cast and action and family and power struggle and betrayal.
Legacy is directed by Saikiran Reddy Daida and stars popular Telugu actor Vishwak Sen in the lead role and also acclaimed actor Kay Kay Menon as a powerful actor. Menon is working to play with Vishwak Sen; and that film will have a lot of intense issues of politics, power and personal relationships.
The makers are now focused on completing all of the film in Madanapalle. Legacy is in post production, and we’re getting closer to the end of the production. The film’s production crew will be working on editing, background score, dubbing, visual effects and other technical aspects of the film for theatrical release.
Legacy is being presented as a political action drama, a marriage of high drama and family. It’s not politics that’s the focus of the film— power and ambition will shape relationships and personal loyalties. Betrayal will shape the plot a lot and have some major confrontations between the main characters as well.
Vishwak Sen will see this project as a second chance to work out a physical and hard-working character. He has a history of choosing so many topics and characters in his career— action comedies to a very different kind of drama.
Kay Kay Menon is another big attraction. Menon has a lot of layered and powerful characters and is quite a strong dramatic presence. His involvement would also further strengthen the political and power-based character of the movie. And that is the film’s key moment to it, as it will also be his character with Vishwak Sen’s.
The final schedule in Madanapalle also indicates that the production is moving along on its bigger timeline. As the team wraps up the remaining filming, the focus will slowly shift to the promotional campaign and theatrical preparations.
The film will be released worldwide in December and so the next few months are critical for the Legacy team. As the shooting comes to an end we will see more of the characters and the story and the world of the film in promotional materials.
The December release window might also allow Legacy to reach audiences on a busy theatrical schedule. Telugu cinema has historically attracted strong audience interest at the end of the year, and films arriving during this period often benefit from the increased theatrical audience footfall and holiday-season entertainment demand.
