Hrithik Roshan’s elder son Hrehaan Roshan has made his debut in music, and is now an independent artist having his own single This Heavenly Place out. Ray in his family, Hrehaan has taken on a wide range of writing and singing roles as a singer and guitarist for the project.
The young musician’s debut is one of many for the Roshan family, which has been associated with music and movies for generations. In contrast to making a grand or heavily produced introduction, Hrehaan has opted for something less big that just feels right with the first release. The music video is shot in a very low-key black and white acoustic setting with his voice, guitar playing and songwriting at the forefront.
This Heavenly Place was produced by Sudan and Ankur Tiwari is A&R for the music project. The stripped-down nature of the song is a nice touch and allows Hrehaan to introduce himself to the listener without having to have elaborate visuals or a huge production.
The debut has also received an enthusiastic response from Hrehaan’s family, with several family members celebrating his first step into music. His father, actor Hrithik Roshan, posted a glimpse of the music video on social media and expressed his confidence in his son’s instincts and abilities.
Hrithik wrote a heartfelt message for Hrehaan: “You were born with an innate wisdom, Ray: I trust it so much. It makes me fearless.” The actor expressed his belief in his son’s individuality as Hrehaan begins to acquire his own creative identity.

Hrehaan’s mother, Sussanne Khan, also shared her feelings at watching her son make this important step. She wrote, “So overwhelmed. Love you beyond anytime.” Her message was in line with the family’s warm reception of the young artist’s musical debut.
Hrithik’s girlfriend and singer-songwriter Saba Azad also congratulated Hrehaan in the comments section. She wrote in response: “So beautiful, Ray. So proud of you.” Her message also highlighted the close-knit support for Hrehaan in the new creative direction.
Filmmaker and Hrehaan’s grandfather Rakesh Roshan also joined the celebrations. Encouraging his grandson, he said: “Ray, I am so proud of you; keep soaring.” Hrehaan’s youngest cousin Pashmina Roshan also spoke of her happiness over the release, thanking him and describing the song as beautiful.
Hrehaan is making his own mark but it is a family legacy that is also of great importance in Hindi movie music as well. His great-grandfather Roshan was one of the most celebrated music composers in Hindi cinema and had some of the best compositions in his career.
Hrehaan’s granduncle Rajesh Roshan carried the family’s musical tradition forward. The composer has scored music for many Hindi films and has a special connection with Hrithik Roshan’s career. Rajesh Roshan composed music for Hrithik’s hugely successful debut film Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, which established the actor as one of Bollywood’s leading young stars.
With This Heavenly Place, Hrehaan seems to have created a path of his own in this musical lineage. Although he is from the film family, his debut shows him mainly as a musician, singer, songwriter and guitarist rather than just Hrithik Roshan’s son.
For Hrehaan, the release is a much bigger deal than just another celebrity-family moment. It is his first public introduction as an artist with his own musical voice. The intimate black-and-white visual treatment is also indicative of a desire to put music at the center.
