Jay Patel spoke about his memorable experience with two big stars of Hindi cinema, Randeep Hooda and Sanjay Dutt: “I was really proud of working with them, and we got to know them, but I got to work with them in Hindi cinema so much so that they were really close to me in the film industry. Patel shared especially fond memories of working with Randeep Hooda in Swatantrya Veer Savarkar. The actor said the experience was much more than a film assignment and became a journey he will always remember.
"Working with Randeep on Swatantrya Veer Savarkar was more than just being part of a film; it was an emotional journey and a bond I will always cherish,” Patel said.
The film allowed Patel to play Shyamji Krishna Varma, a key character in India’s freedom struggle. To portray someone who is a historical person took a lot of hard work, and Patel was said to have studied Varma's life in detail before he went to work.
The preparation also included a physical change to bring the historical character to life on screen. Patel was especially proud of the opportunity because of his Ahmedabad roots and his long-standing engagement with India's history and freedom struggle.
Patel also spoke fondly of working with Sanjay Dutt. He described the relationship in emotional terms: “I was working with the veteran actor not just as a job and then having a business relationship with him but also as a bond because we shared this kind of trust and respect.
“Working with Sanjay Dutt was more than an experience; it was a brotherhood, built through trust, respect and unforgettable moments,” Patel said.
