Kangana Ranaut and Baba Ramdev seem to have put their recent public dispute behind them and chose Raksha Bandhan as the occasion for a message of love and reconciliation. The yoga guru sent Rakhi, sweets and a gift to Kangana, calling her his sister and saying that they have to go beyond what they have but to the point of dialogue and forgiveness. Kangana responded warmly.

The reconciliation follows the public clash between the two public figures after Kangana’s controversial comments about student protesters. What started as a dispute over her comments soon turned into a public spat as Kangana and Ramdev had their opinions about each other. On Raksha Bandhan, the mood changed when Ramdev used the festival to call for an end to animosity and Kangana was happy.

For Kangana, accepting Ramdev’s offer of help is the traditional sentiment of Raksha Bandhan— to put everything aside and celebrate family love. For Ramdev, the gesture was a way to reaffirm his stance for dialogue, social harmony and mutual respect.
While debates between such famous people are still in the news, the recent one between Kangana and Ramdev suggests that they are closing this chapter. Their Raksha Bandhan interaction has therefore come to be less about their earlier disputes and more about forgiveness, affection and how to talk through disagreements.
Kangana's acceptance of Rakhi, sweets and affection from Baba Ramdev seems to signal that the "bade bhai-behen" equation has been restored, with both sides choosing peace over another round of public confrontation.
