The sequel will bring back the chaotic humour and money-driven madness of the first film and is expected to be a favourite with comedy fans.
According to industry reports, the original trio from the 2006 comedy is set to reunite for Malamaal Weekly 2. The first movie was based on a group of villagers who get a winning lottery ticket, leading to a series of hilarious schemes, betrayals, and misunderstandings. The sequel should keep the comedy-driven attitude of the original one with a new set of characters (and a new generation of characters).
The fact that Elvish Yadav has been announced in the project is one of the big talks. Elvish has a huge digital following and reality show popularity, so he could go into mainstream Hindi cinema with a big part.
