Once a Bollywood Heroine, Pooja Dadwal Now Lives a Simple Life in a Mumbai Chawl

Pooja Dadwal, who made her Bollywood debut opposite Salman Khan in the 1995 film Veergati, has been on one of the rollercoasters of life in the entertainment industry. A bright talent before that, today she lives a humble life in a Mumbai chawl running a small tiffin service after years in this life of struggle.

Pooja entered Bollywood at the age of 17 when she was cast in Veergati alongside Salman Khan. While the movie didn't perform so well at the box office, her performance was appreciated, and industry insiders recognized her. But despite the early recognition, she found it hard to get into Bollywood and never got any regular acting opportunities.

Pooja also tried TV to continue her career, but she did not find success. Finally, she stepped away from the entertainment industry, got married, and moved to Goa, where she took over the casino business owned by her husband.

Her life turned into a tragedy when she was diagnosed with TB and a lung-related illness. Pooja has said she was left without financial or emotional support to seek medical treatment.

At that time, actor Ravi Kishan and Salman Khan came to her aid with her treatment costs. They helped Pooja to get the medical care she needed, and she eventually recovered from her illness.

After regaining her health, Pooja returned to Mumbai and started to rebuild her life from scratch. In her interviews, she spoke of living in a small chawl and doing domestic work to make a little money to support herself. She also tried to get back into acting through Punjabi cinema, but the project didn't succeed.

Today, Pooja Dadwal earns her living by working at a small tiffin business and still lives a simple and independent life. Her journey from the glamour of Bollywood to overcoming her health issues and starting her life all over again is a reminder of the unpredictability of life.

While she is no longer in the spotlight, Pooja’s resilience and determination continue to inspire.
