Tara Sutaria, who has not shared that portion of her life with the world for years. She shared with a reporter that she is a dyscalculic learner and has been diagnosed with it in many of her studies which makes it hard to calculate things, understand numbers and do some math. Tara cited her father and professional team as her biggest supporters because she had to go through all the paperwork, banking and financial decision making she had to do.
The revelation came during an interview with Hauterrfly as Tara spoke about her experiences, responsibilities and the importance of understanding financial matters. Women should be aware of their bank work (including paperwork and finances) even when they have people helping them, she said.
Tara Sutaria Talks about Dyscalculia
Tara said she feels lucky to have her father’s support when it comes to managing her finances. She said she tries to understand the finances and learn as much as she can, but sometimes with her learning disability it can make number-based tasks so hard.
Tara said she’s lucky her father gives her money and said that women need to know about their own banking, paperwork and financial responsibilities. But even if she is learning, she says that she does get to make mistakes because of her difficulty with numbers.
Tara also revealed that her accounts team is important for her to handle the practical aspects of her finances. She had no reservations about telling the truth about trusting people she trusted but also to learn about it.
Her comments also emphasized that a learning disability does not preclude someone from succeeding or being independent. Different systems, support networks or professional help in particular areas of life may need to be used instead.

Tara has a diverse portfolio in stocks and is still learning as she goes. She said she talks to her friends about investing and their knowledge.
And she enjoys real estate (she loves homes and investing in them) and is very active in learning about her financial choices, she said.
Tara also brought attention to dyscalculia, a condition that’s not as widely understood as other learning disabilities. Dyscalculia can be challenging for numerical concepts, calculations, remembering numbers or quantities. The difficulty varies from person to person.
Tara’s disclosure is significant because financial management is often about numbers, calculations, dates, percentages and documentation, but she did ask for help from her family and professional team, and as a result we can see how practical help can assist in the area that is very difficult for most people to do.
Tara Sutaria's Return With Toxic
The actress is currently on the boards of Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups, now in its fourth movie. Tara plays Rebecca, the daughter of gangsters and falls in love with Yash’s character Raya.
Tara’s role now has brought her back into the limelight after a period of relatively quiet film work. Her role in Toxic has also given audiences a chance to see her in a different place than what she’s done in some of her earlier Bollywood movies.
Tara made her acting debut with Student Of The Year 2 in 2019, which also brought Ananya Panday to Bollywood. Tiger Shroff plays the male lead in the film. Tara then played in Marjaavaan with Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh.
She later appeared in Tadap, Heropanti 2 and Ek Villain Returns. While some of these movies received criticism and did not perform very well at the box office, Tara continued to play more roles.
In Apurva, which premiered on JioHotstar she took on a solo role and was in an action-oriented survival drama. The movie received mixed responses but Tara’s performance was praised from some of the audience.
With Toxic, Tara is now on the next step of her career but also giving fans a more personal view of her life. Her frank talk about dyscalculia and finances adds another layer to her public persona as well as demonstrates that she isn’t shy about going public with her issues, which are often private.
Her comments reminded me that asking for help is not a reflection of a person’s abilities. For Tara, having her father, friends and professional accounts team with her helps her to stay in financial decisions and learn at her own pace.
