Shraddha Kapoor’s period biographical drama Eetha is heading for a major box office clash with Prabhas’ highly anticipated pan-India action film Fauzi. The makers of Eetha have locked December 4, 2026 as the new theatrical release date, just one day after Fauzi which is expected to arrive in cinemas on December 3.
Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, Eetha is a period drama based on strong real-life-inspired stories. Shraddha Kapoor plays the lead in this film and Randeep Hooda and Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub play supporting roles alongside her. So far the project has been a big hit because it reunites key members of the team behind the Chhaava team from the historical drama, which went on to become a huge box office hit.
Shraddha will be in a tough and intense part in Eetha and the film is also to deal with a performance-oriented character as she has done well in recent years. With Laxman Utekar at the helm, the film has to deliver strong storytelling and the scale and visual treatment of period cinema.
