Sunita Ahuja, wife of Bollywood actor Govinda, has withdrawn the divorce case she had filed against her husband, confirmed Govinda’s manager Shashi Ranjan.
Sunita was seen at a family court in Mumbai on Wednesday, August 19, when a hearing related to the case was scheduled. She was accompanied by her son, Yashvardhan Ahuja. Govinda’s lawyer was also there.
Shashi Ranjan confirmed the development in News9 Digital when he said Sunita Ahuja had withdrawn the divorce case.
Ranjan also commented on the reason behind the dispute and said that the matter that led to the dispute should not have been public. According to him, things were going well in the family before the disputes exploded into the public domain.
He said that there was no need for the couple’s personal matters to reach the public or the courts and suggested that statements made during moments of anger had affected both Sunita and Govinda.
The manager also said Govinda was helping his family during this time. He said that while the case was ongoing, Govinda was still taking care of the family’s monthly expenses. Ranjan said the actor did not stop supporting his wife and children despite the legal proceedings.
Ranjan also claimed that Govinda had continued to make efforts for the family’s well-being, arranging prayers and pujas for Sunita and their children. Govinda was someone who had always put the family first, he said.
The divorce case had attracted attention, especially after public discussion on the couple’s relationship and allegations of different views. Govinda and Sunita have been married for many decades and have two children, daughter Tina Ahuja and son Yashvardhan Ahuja.
