BTS has again sent Indian ARMY into a frenzy and this time it’s their India-centric tease that has everyone’s attention. The global K-pop supergroup appeared in a special video with RM, Jin, Suga, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook who talked about India, Mumbai and things they would like to do when they do go to India. There’s no India concert or tour date in the video to be reported but the references have been enough to revive one of the biggest wishes of Indian BTS fans.

Jin surprised fans by speaking in Hindi. The video starts with BTS greeting Indian fans with a warm "Namaste" before Jin sends a Hindi message that will speak in Hindi: “Kaise hain aap sab? Humne aapko miss kiya”. For Indian ARMY, hearing one of BTS’ most familiar members speak Hindi was emotional and unexpected.
The Hindi greeting became one of the big talking points around the clip. BTS members have always acknowledged their international fans but a direct Hindi-language message from Jin naturally had a special effect on Indian fans. Social media was filled with reactions from fans who were celebrating the gesture and wondering if it may be a sign that an India visit is finally getting closer.
BTS Talks About Visiting Mumbai
The excitement didn’t stop with Jin’s Hindi greeting. In the video, the group acknowledges BTS’ huge Indian fanbase and discusses what they might do if they get the opportunity to visit India. Mumbai is also mentioned among fans and it adds to the speculation.
For years Indian ARMY has wished BTS would play one of its concerts in India. While BTS has a huge following in Indian cities, it has not played a full concert in India. Hence even a brief mention of Mumbai from the group can spark a passionate discussion between fans.
J-Hope asks about places the members should visit if they come to India, leading to a conversation about food and experiences they would like to explore. That’s when RM’s unexpected food reference got us talking.
RM Wants To Try An East Indian Thali
RM’s mention of an “East Indian Thali” quickly became another highlight of the video. Indian cuisine is famously diverse, with food traditions varying dramatically from one region to another and the members’ interest in trying local dishes has given fans plenty to talk about.
For desi ARMY, the idea of BTS sitting down together for an Indian thali has already become a fun fantasy. Fans have begun imagining what the members might eat, which regional cuisines they could try and what their reactions would be to India’s wide variety of flavours.
The food conversation also makes the India references feel more personal than a simple promotional greeting. Rather than only acknowledging their Indian fans, the members appear to be discussing experiences they would like to have in the country.
Is BTS Actually Coming To India?
Despite the excitement, fans should differentiate the tease from an official concert announcement. At this point, there is no official announcement from BTS or BIGHIT MUSIC of a date, venue or tour date for an India concert.
Therefore, the India visit theory is largely based on fan interpretation of the video and also on the circumstances surrounding the current activities of BTS. The possibility also becomes even more interesting, as HYBE has also expanded its presence in Mumbai and hence Indian fans will have a new reason to conjecture on the group’s future in India.
But none of these things confirm that BTS will perform in India. Fans will have to wait for an official announcement before treating the speculation as confirmed news.
Why Indian ARMY Is So Excited
The reaction is understandable considering how long Indian ARMY has waited for a BTS concert in the country. BTS has played in a great many international markets and India is still one of the places where fans are waiting for a full-scale group concert.
The septet's current ARIRANG era and world tour have also increased expectations. Now that RM, Jin, Suga, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook are back in full force as a group, there is a lot of global work to be done yet with every new promotional appearance that fans check for clues as to where the tour is taking place.
The new video is so much more than just a promotional video for Indian fans. Jin speaking Hindi, BTS saying "Namaste", Mumbai being mentioned and RM interested in Indian food have all created a wave of excitement on social media.
The India concert is not yet official. But the message from BTS has certainly given desi ARMY something they have wanted for years: a direct acknowledgment of their gigantic love and support. Whether the tease eventually results in a real Mumbai stop or it is just a great promotional moment, Indian fans will always be able to welcome BTS when it comes up.
