Yash’s much awaited Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has finally cleared the Indian censor process and received an ‘A’ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) in Bengaluru region on August 13, 2026.
CBFC certification also confirms the film's lengthy theatrical run. The certified duration is 194 minutes and 12 seconds, which translates to 3 hours, 14 minutes and 12 seconds.
The runtime has immediately become one of the biggest talking points among fans. A film running for longer than three hours suggests that director Geetu Mohandas has retained a lot of material for the theatrical experience rather than significantly trimming the story for a shorter runtime.
Why did Toxic get an ‘A’ Certificate?

The film has been shot on a massive scale and has been filmed in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Goa, Thoothukudi and Jaipur. It was filmed in Kannada and English and dubbed versions are planned in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.
