Kannada superstar Yash reportedly went into protective “bodyguard” mode while filming Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups with Kiara Advani, who was pregnant during part of the shoot.

The reveal has added an emotional dimension to the making of a pan-India movie. Yash and Kiara appear at the center of Toxic, directed by Geetu Mohandas, and their time at the helm became especially memorable during Kiara’s pregnancy.
As reported, Yash was aware of Kiara's condition while filming and was worried about her safety during demanding sequences. He said at the time that he was “a little worried” when working with the actress in that period.
The actor’s protective behaviour has caught fans’ attention, particularly since Toxic is being filmed as a big action film with epic sequences and elaborate production setups. The safety of all involved is crucial as the actors are physically involved.
Kiara Advani’s pregnancy was a big topic of discussion during Toxic. She continued working on the film despite all the work she had to do and living her life.
Yash's concern also reflects the close professional bond developed between the two actors during the making of the movie. Their characters are in the film’s high-stakes world, but behind the camera, the actor took care to make Kiara feel comfortable and safe.
Kiara Advani's Role in Toxic
Kiara plays an important role in Toxic, set against the backdrop of the Goa underworld during the last years of Portuguese rule. Yash is reported to be playing a dual part; gangster Raya and his son Rumi.
Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth are also part of the film. Toxic combines action, drama, and family emotions, and it is being hailed as one of the largest Kannada-language productions.
The film will be released worldwide on August 26, 2026, and regular and IMAX screenings are planned.
Yash and Kiara's On-Screen Combination
Yash and Kiara have generated a lot of curiosity among audiences. Toxic marks Kiara's entry into the Kannada film industry, and she has the opportunity to work with one of India’s most popular pan-India stars.
The film has also received a lot of attention for its international-scale production, multilingual release strategy, and ambitious visual presentation.
Yash’s “bodyguard” moment during the shoot is now a very interesting behind-the-scenes detail from the making of the film. His admission that he was “a little worried” about Kiara highlights the precautions and personal considerations that can accompany the filming of a major action project.
As Toxic approaches its August release, fans are waiting to see how the chemistry between Yash and Kiara plays out on screen.
