The British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) has also certified Toxic as something that is only suitable for adults due to its strong violence and mature content. It has made the film’s global attention even higher so far, and the movie is expected to become one of the most eagerly awaited movies of the year.

According to the BBFC classification, Toxic has the highest content ratings in terms of violence and sexual content. The board gave a 5 out of 5 rating in both sections for the extreme violent and graphic material, and in the classification report, scenes like brutal fighting, bloodshed, and graphic violence were included to indicate adult-only certification.

As well as violence, the board also found strong thematic elements throughout the film. Threat, horror, drug-related content, and strong language were rated 4 out of 5 on the list. These kinds of assessments are indicative of the film as dark and gritty and more of a mature, commercial action movie rather than a conventional one.

The BBFC listing lists the film's runtime as 191 minutes and 41 seconds, and it is one of the longer films produced by Yash. The movie was primarily shot in Kannada and English, but the classification board seems to have mistakenly categorised it as Tamil in their database. But at least the certification has been a great talking point for fans and film lovers alike.

Toxic is believed to chronicle the rise and fall of a powerful drug mafia leader in Goa. The plot will centre on crime, power, betrayal, and survival in a city of violence and underworld warfare. The BBFC description notes violent action scenes, graphic violence, and additional graphic content in the movie, which will contribute to the film’s mature rating for viewers.

The film has a star-studded cast, which only adds to that appeal. This is a film with Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Rukmini Vasanth, Huma Qureshi, and Tara Sutaria in the lead roles. It is another big step in Yash’s career after the huge global success of the KGF franchise. And fans are excited to see the actor in a totally different avatar and in a darker and more mature movie.

Directed by the genius filmmaker Geetu Mohandas, Toxic has been shot on a grand scale. KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations have produced the film. Since the project was announced, it was the most eagerly awaited project due to the unique title and production value, and the promotional materials.

The adult certification would further encourage curiosity among audiences worldwide, industry observers say. The movie has already generated much interest across India and foreign markets, and the BBFC rating has only raised questions about its content and storytelling approach.

Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is going to be released in the world on August 26. Yash is about to return to the big screen with one of the boldest and most ambitious movies of his career, and expectations are high.
