I’m Game Box Office Collection Day 2: Dulquer Salmaan Film Crosses ₹10 Crore in India
Dulquer Salmaan’s latest Malayalam film “I’m Game” just crossed the ₹10 crore mark at the box office within 2 days of release. This success says the audience's interest in the movie, as Dulquer has developed into a popular actor. But the action thriller is up against Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, which has become the best of this crowded Onam season with good box office numbers.
According to the trade website Sacnilk, “I’m Game” earned around ₹4.60 crore net on Friday and earned around ₹10 crore net in its first two days. The film had a solid opening and brought in ₹5.40 crore on Thursday, but it had a drop on the second day (down 14.8% from the opening day). There was a 37% occupancy rate at more than 3,145 shows on Friday and a moderate audience turnout.
When the weekend arrives, it will be more important for “I’m Game” to carry on this momentum. The next few days are crucial, and if it does well, it will boost the Malayalam box office, more people will be in the audience, and then it will have a better chance of being chosen.
Bethlehem Kudumba Unit Still Ahead
The main competition for “I’m Game” is from “Bethlehem Kudumba Unit” (Girish AD). The film has actors Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju in it. The much-anticipated Onam release has achieved ₹12.05 crore net in its first two days. This film is ahead of Dulquer Salmaan’s film and is a must-watch one for the festive season.
And even beyond the first weekend, “Bethlehem Kudumba Unit” was already making around ₹108 crore net in India over 15 days. This box office success has made it one of the biggest Malayalam hits of the season; both the audience and critics are loving it.
“I’m Game” was planned for release during the August Onam festival, along with other big movies like Bethlehem Kudumba Unit and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s “Khalifa.” But for various reasons, the film was postponed and then released on 3 September, and the movie is very popular with fans and film lovers.
Dulquer’s Recent Box Office Performances
Lucky Baskhar (2024), which is a Telugu film, had a relatively strong start of ₹13.90 crore in its first two days, and that's where you see the different box office success rates across all his other films. The movie is an action-mystery with a two-day box office in a Tamil film.
Dulquer’s first film in Malayalam cinema after a three-year absence is “I’m Game,” and the interest is high. Narrated by Nahas Hidhayath, the movie is about a gambler whose life turns around for a different reason, and the movie will bring you a lot of twists and turns.
