The Malayalam movie Unmadham will be released on digital with the movie going to be premiered on SonyLIV soon. The OTT release will be available in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi as well as Malayalam and will take the movie to the multilingual markets.
The project has caught the attention of Malayalam cinema and OTT fans (and the film will be released in multilingual digital download). Though no date has been announced for an official release, Unmadham will be available on SonyLIV soon.
The fact that the movie is being released in five languages speaks to the increasing demand for dubbed content in Indian streaming platforms. Malayalam cinema has been reaching out to viewers outside Kerala on the OTT platform and the people from all parts of the country are very interested in films that have a different story and performance.
For Unmadham, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi versions will also expand the audience for the film. And viewers who don’t like watching Malayalam movies will be able to see it in their own language when it arrives on the platform.
SonyLIV keeps adding to the Indian-language content library with movies and series throughout the region. Unmadham will be added to the Malayalam content line-up which will give subscribers another regional title to look forward to.
