Social media influencer Shreya Kalra won Netflix’s Lock Upp Season 2 and won the coveted trophy and ₹1 crore cash prize in the show’s thrilling grand finale on 5 August. But she won this in competition with Shivangi Joshi in second place even when the competition was intense and kept viewers watching through the entire season.
Hosted by Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh, the latest season premiered on June 27 and quickly became a fan favorite, due to its challenging tasks, emotional challenges, high stakes, unexpected twists and emotional experiences. Contestants were faced with an array of physical and mental struggles and were forced to make decisions about alliances, surprise evictions and wildcard participants.
The grand finale featured a jury-based voting system in which 25 jurors, including evicted contestants and media personalities, voted to decide the winner. Shreya Kalra had the most number of votes and won the title and ₹1 crore prize.
The rest of the season was tough but determined for Shreya. Though she was criticized and had a lot of tough times in the house, she won the jury and part of the audience over with her game of strategy and emotional development. Her win was called a “redemption arc” by fans because she survived, and she always came back from that bad place to continue on and succeed in the end.
Along with the winner's name, the finale also honored other standout contestants. Yogesh Rawat was awarded MVP for his performance and contribution throughout the season. And Akanksha Choudhary got Audience Winner because of the popularity she enjoys even though she did not win the main title.

Fans praised her for working hard and hashtags associated with the finale started to surge in popularity on social media.
