But the emotional parts work really well, and the overall result gives a strong cinematic high, Bala says. And his response is particularly salient because it highlights not only Soori’s performance but the film’s overall filmmaking package.
Sreedhar Pillai, on the other hand, scored it 3.5/5 stars for entertainment and a refreshing and racy sports drama in the raw world of sea boat racing and regattas. Pillai liked the first half for setting the stage and the second half as a blow out and especially the finale with a whirlpool.
