As Tamil cinema bids a monumental farewell to actor "Thalapathy" Vijay with his last movie, Jana Nayagan, rockstar composer Anirudh Ravichander expressed his deep gratitude and emotional state in a moving social media note.

For the first time in a decade, Anirudh had to think about five blockbusters that changed South Indian film music, which are Kaththi, Master, Beast, Leo and Jana Nayagan.
"It was such a wonderful and emotional journey with you through Jana Nayagan, Leo, Beast, Master and Kaththi. Thank you @actorvijay sir for the unlimited trust and memories that I will cherish forever. The music is alive."
A Decade of Unstoppable Chartbusters. Vijay's partnership with Anirudh Ravichander, affectionately referred to as the Ani-Vijay duo, is one of the best commercially successful partnerships in Indian cinema. Their musical collaboration started in 2014 and set the bar for background scores and high-energy dance anthems.
The milestones of the Ani-Vijay legacy:
Kaththi (2014):
Their first collaboration brought the timeless tracks like “Selfie Pulla” and “Aathi” to Vijay’s cinematic universe.
Master (2021):
The viral sensation “Vaathi Coming” became an international dance phenomenon, while the background score elevated Vijay’s charismatic portrayal of ‘JD’.
Beast (2022):
Driven by the global hit "Arabic Kuthu" (Halamithi Habibo), the soundtrack broke multiple streaming records upon release.
Leo (2023):
Tracks like “Naa Ready” and “Badass” made it to the top of the music charts, and the action thriller brought forth a lot of energy from Lokesh Kanagaraj.
Jana Nayagan (2026):
As the end, the album includes high-octane songs like “Thalapathy Kacheri” and emotional compositions that honour Vijay’s decades-long legacy on screen.
An emotional goodbye in Jana Nayagan. Vijay steps away from the silver screen to devote himself fully to public life and politics, Jana Nayagan is a cinematic tribute. The fans in countries around the world had an emotional experience of intense action, emotional depth and a nostalgic end-credits sequence scored by Anirudh.
It has been a thoroughly amazing and emotional journey with you through JanaNayagan, Leo, Beast, Master and Kaththi π
