Sardar 2 is getting more and more excited with the movie's much awaited first single - Mayil Veera - coming out tomorrow for the first time at 7:45 PM. Prince Pictures's announcement has already generated huge fanfare among Tamil cinema fans, especially Karthi fans who were waiting anxiously for the promotional campaign to kick off for the sequel.

The song was announced with an upbeat message to fans to get “Murugafied,” and peacock-shaped imagery. Mayil Veera itself has been a surprise to some people as Mayil is the peacock and “Veera” is the word of bravery or courage all the time.
The 7:45 PM release is expected to give fans an evening musical treat and could quickly turn the song into a trending topic on social media. First singles can set the tone for a film’s promotional campaign, and the makers seem to be keen on making Mayil Veera a high-energy launch for Sardar 2.
The film is the much anticipated sequel to Sardar (Karthi in dual roles and popularized in the industry). The original film was very much espionage, action, drama and emotional and Karthi’s performance was appreciated by the masses.
In the sequel P. S. Mithran is again director and the world established in the first movie will continue. His involvement has been one of the main reasons for expectations surrounding the project, and audiences are expecting that the filmmaker will expand the story and action scale in the second film.
At the same time, Karthi’s return is a big attraction. The actor is one of the most versatile actors in Tamil cinema— he works as an action actor, thrillers, dramas and commercial entertainment. And returning to the Sardar universe has got very many people interested and the audience who really loved the first film really likes him to come back to.
The announcement of “Mayil Veera” also indicates that the makers are beginning to accelerate the promotional activities ahead of the film’s theatrical release. Sardar 2 is set to hit cinemas on September 10, so the team had a limited promotional window to build anticipation through songs, posters, glimpses and eventually the theatrical trailer.
The first single could be a major part of that campaign. A successful song can really get the audience interested in it if lyric highlights, dance sequences and musical moments are shared on social media. The “Murugafied” theme has already given the song a distinct promotional identity.
